I’m going to begin my prosperity challenge with the Peachy family.
Priscilla is the grandmother to her four grandaughters. She has taken on the responsibility of raising them after her daughter ran off with another man…leaving all of them behind.
Priscilla - knowledge/cancer.
Pamela (orange shirt/curly hair) – fortune/gemini
Penelope (glasses) – romance/pisces
Patricia (pink dress) – popularity/cancer
Kathleen (green shirt/pigtails) – knowledge/capricorn
The Peachy family moved into a small house in a suburb called ‘The Dream Plains.’ It had a big enough yard that the kids could play safely. Patricia and Pamela immediately started tossing the ball around outside….
…while Penelope and Kathleen preferred playing in their new house. They liked the sounds of the echos in the empty rooms as they ran through.
A strange woman greeted them…making promises of finding love and companionship. Priscilla decided to buy the old woman’s services, but after looking at how much money she had remaining she could only afford to give the woman $1000 simoleons….and hope for the best.
Uhhhh…is this person even legal yet??? She found out his name is Jared Starchild…some hippy wanna-be Uni student. Are you serious??
Well…there was no way to get her $1000 simoleons back…so she made the best of it. She invited Jared in, along with some other neighbors that arrived to welcome the family to the neighborhood. She tried talking to Jared….even did a bit of flirting to see if he liked older women. Apparently he does!
I can absolutely guarantee you that Jared has never had a girl flirt with him before….ever…at any age! But hey…he’s smart enough to be at university, right? Once he graduates he will be able to work at a pretty good job…he’s young and healthy….hmmm…maybe this will work out after all!
Eventually the date ended on a good note…and all the visitors left for home. It wasn’t a bad start for their first day. The next morning Priscilla walked outside with her grandaughters as they all left on the bus for school. While waiting for the bus to leave, she met the man who brought her mail…Sheldon Hanby. Priscilla smiled and said hello to him, even as she noticed him placing bills in her mailbox. She also said hello to another man that passed by…Malcolm landgraab. It never hurt to be friendly….and Priscilla was beginning to feel a little desperate as she realized that the money was getting away very quickly.
Authors Note: At this point things seemed to have come to a screeching halt. First of all, Jared doesn’t have a phone and she had no way to contact him. The other two guys that she had met were always out and she kept getting their answering machines. She did ask Malcolm over…but he declined. So…that left Sheldon…who also didn’t have a phone! So Priscilla had to rely on seeing Sheldon as he delivered the mail, building up a relationship in this way.
Priscilla began to hang around the mailbox after the school bus left each morning in hopes that Sheldon would come by. Eventually they both looked forward to seeing the other and chatting…at least Priscilla hoped Sheldon enjoyed their visits as much as she did. He was definately not immune to her flirting and to all the attention she gave him.
Priscilla spent her evenings with her grandaughters, and she made sure they continued with their studies and kept their grades up…and being the best surrogate parent that she knew how to be.
Although Priscilla spent her evenings taking care of her granddaughters, she spent her days continuing to pursue her friendship with Sheldon. She could tell he was falling for her. In her younger years Priscilla had been a beauty…and she knew how to flirt and make a guy feel good!
All her time and hard work paid off when Sheldon agreed to move in with the family. Unfortunately, he brought only $1000 simoleons to the family treasury…and he was now unemployed. First thing was to get him a job as…what else…a mailroom tech! He should make the advances rather quickly as his skills are really great! Sheldon is a fortune sim and is a capricorn.
The girls all seem happy and well adjusted in their new home. They do not seem to be negatively affected by the fact that their mother has left them. One or the other of them is usually bringing a friend home from school with her…and they are doing great in school.
I couldn’t ask for a better beginning!
